TradFest Edinburgh · Dùn Èideann is a vibrant celebration of folk arts in Edinburgh, now in its 5th year, celebrating music, song, storytelling, dance, folk drama, arts and crafts, literature, architecture, language and film in Scotland’s capital. We hope audiences will encounter living traditions and local cultures of all kinds, in a host of venues, indoors and outdoors, across the capital city. TradFest marks the start of Scotland’s summer with Beltane and May Day celebrations, while fostering a wave of young and rising talent in the arts.
The dates for TradFest are 26 April to 6 May 2018.
In 2018 TradFest will celebrate Scotland’s Year of Young People 2018 by encouraging events and content around the theme of Passing It On. TradFest is held throughout the city and encourages proposals for events at any venue (or space) in Edinburgh and the surrounding areas. The festival will include programme strands curated by the Festival’s partners, as well as an open community programme.
Please complete the event proposal form with as much information as possible to submit your proposal and return (preferably by email) to: Daniel Abercrombie, Programme & Events Manager, Scottish Storytelling Centre, firstname.lastname@example.org, +44 (0)131 556 9579, 43-45 High St, Edinburgh, EH1 1SR.
